The UAE has emerged as the business capital of the Middle East leading in areas such as tourism, real estate, financial services, the oil industry and its tremendous growth during the last decade, in the field of construction. Attracting world attention through many innovative large construction projects in Dubai , Abu Dhabi , Ajman , Ras Al Khaima and Umm Al Quwain.
Dubai, in particular has seen the inauguration of The Metro Rail System, The Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, expansion of the world’s 4th busiest International Airport and now the 7th busiest cargo airport in the world, Palm Island and Meydan Racecourse the new home of the Dubai World Cup. Dubai is also an international financial centre and has been ranked 1st within the Middle East as surveyed by the MasterCard Worldwide Centers of Commerce Index (2007).
Simultaneously Abu Dhabi has seen tremendous growth especially in the field of construction during the last couple of years and has great potential for further growth. Some of the prestigious projects are Sorbon University, Sheikh Zayed University, Masdar Institute of Technology, Formula One, Abu Dhabi International Airport- Ettihad Terminal. Additionally Abu Dhabi is expanding its cultural arts centers with the introduction of Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Design Museum, Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum designed by the 2008 Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel, and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum designed by Frank Gehry.

Al Habtoor Trading Enterprises began business in the late 1980’s as
a General Trading Company and has since diversified its business activities
into Automobiles, Construction, Engineering & Project Management,
Waste Management, Electro Mechanical, Building Materials, Financial
Services, Information Technology, Consultancy, Human Resources, Travel
& Tourism and Real Estate. Today, Habtoor Trading Enterprises (HTE)
operates in Azerbaijan, Syria, and Lebanon with offices in Dubai, UAE
and Toronto, Canada with dealers in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan
and Tajikistan. HTE strives to keep a pace with the growth the UAE has
achieved during the last decade.
During 2009-2010 we formed strategic partnership with several multinational
companies and have been appointed Agent for an International company.
With the improvement seen in the financial situation of the Country,
we are optimistic 2011 will be a prosperous year.
Our goal for the future is to further pursue our expansion and diversification efforts, with renewed dynamism and continued commitment to develop, expand and create new opportunities for our partners.
